Design Wall Monday

Bonnie Hunter's "Pineapple Blossom"

Hip Hip Hooray! Another quilting UFO under my belt!  It's been so long!  It's good to know that I have finally got my butt in gear.  Now, if I can just keep it there.

I've been postponing working on this Pineapple Blossom quilt (Bonnie Hunter's pattern).  I made it from a batik jelly roll and some batik fat quarters. It was a fun quilt to make and it goes together fast.  You wouldn't know it by me though.  It is actually for DBF's niece for her birthday, which was back at the end of February.  Talk about behind!

I finished up the very simple quilting this evening and got the edges trimmed.  Tomorrow, I'll work on the binding and I'll be ready for the hand work.

After that, there's only like 15-20 UFOs still waiting.  Somebody light a fire under my butt so I don't get stuck again!

I have admired that pattern for a long time and never made it. I think it looks wonderful in batiks. Great job!!
